I-AM Member raises funds for Youth Club

I-AM would like to say a massive thank you to Damian Thompson for raising nearly £900 for us.

Damian completed the Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride that attracts over 4,000 cyclists. Although the official event was cancelled, due to Covid-19, Damian still went ahead with his challenge anyway. He set off from Old Trafford and finished at Blackpool Tower.

Damian is an I-AM member and the money raised will be used to support the work of the Youth club,

“My son attends the youth clubs at I-AM which he really enjoys and has day trips out to places all over the northwest, the youth club is a friendly and relaxing with various rooms for them to either chill out, play games like pool and draw & interact with other children young people”. Damian’s Dad

Damian’s challenge was not without its setbacks but despite having a blowout at Kirkham he still managed to complete the final 15 miles.

Congratulations Damian on this fantastic achievement and thank you so much for this donation it will certainly be put to good use.

I-AM relies on the generosity of individuals like Damian to support our vital work. If you or anyone you know would like to make a donation or do a sponsored challenge or support us in some other way then do let us know by contacting us at admin@i-am-autism.org.uk or give us a call on 0161 866 8483
