Introducing Nick Foster, CEO of I AM

Dear Members and Friends

Dear Friends of I AM,

I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new CEO of I AM, succeeding Helen’s remarkable leadership. I AM holds a special place in supporting and empowering individuals with autism, and I am honored to be part of this vital mission.

A bit about me: I live near Stockport with my wife, C-J, and our three teenagers. My professional background spans counselling, academia, industry, and charity work, with a focus on fostering partnerships, caring for teams, and transforming vision into action. These experiences have shaped my commitment to ensuring that I AM continues to grow as a beacon of support and opportunity for those we serve.

The Stretford Centre will remain a cornerstone of our work, providing a welcoming and essential hub for our members. While honouring the strong foundation built by Helen and the team, I’m also exploring new opportunities to enhance our programmes and reach across Greater Manchester – ensuring that our impact continues to expand without compromising the heart of what makes I AM so special.

I’m thrilled to share that we’ll be welcoming a new Admin team member, Cereasha Bailey, on June 24th. Additionally, we are currently recruiting another Autism Key Worker to strengthen our ability to provide group support and workplace services. If you or someone you know has the skills and passion to contribute, please reach out or apply by June 25th.

As we move forward, I look forward to connecting with you – our valued supporters, members, and community partners. Your input, feedback, and shared experiences will be invaluable as we shape the next chapter for I AM together.

Thank you for your continued trust and support. Here’s to a bright future for I AM and the incredible community we serve.

Warm regards,
Nick Foster
CEO, I AM
