We were delighted to welcome volunteers from the Manchester office of commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE.

8 am Friday morning and we were overwhelmed by the seemingly endless number of volunteers who had gave up their time to help improve our work and community spaces. Swapping computers and pens for paint brushes and spades, they spent the whole day completely transforming our indoor and outdoor spaces for our members.

A huge thank you to CBRE Manchester for organising and managing the transformation. Also, we would like to thank all the subcontractors who worked tirelessly and shared their own experiences of autism with us.

Our dark and worn old fencing received a very welcome lick of paint.
Attention to detail certainly paid off.
Nearly finished now and the panels are transformed. Amazing what a good coat of paint can do.
Our front garden and got a bit overgrown and a professional touch was very welcome.
All the beds expertly cleared and made ready for planting.
The beds were were covered with bark chippings then planted up.

With the sun still shining, the last bit of planting commenced.
With all the planting done, there was just time to take a well-earned break.
It’s amazing how many old documents you accumulate over time.
The cellar was cleared, painted and completely tidied. What a transformation.
We cannot thank the team from CBRE Manchester and all the sub-contractors enough. They did such an amazing and incredible job.
