Summer may have come and gone, and with all the rain, it almost felt like it never arrived. But despite the lack of sunshine, our action-packed adult holiday programme made sure it was a season to remember. Here are some of our top highlights we just had to share with you!
June Highlights
Our summer adventures began with an unforgettable trip to the breathtaking Peak District National Park, where we embarked on an extraordinary underground boat journey at Speedwell Cavern. Nestled at the base of the dramatic Winnats Pass, towering above the village of Castleton, this experience took us deep into a 200-year-old lead mine. The journey culminated in a stunning, cathedral-like cavern that houses the awe-inspiring Bottomless Pit, a vast subterranean lake that left us all in awe. It was a perfect blend of natural wonder and historical intrigue, setting the tone for a summer full of adventure.
In June, we enjoyed some friendly competition with a game of tenpin bowling at Tenpin. We also savored delicious meals at two of our favorite Asian restaurants in Manchester: Wagamama and Tops Buffet.

July Highlights
July kicked off with our regular social event, featuring a celebratory drink or two with friends in Trafford. We enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the spa town of Buxton in Derbyshire for the 180-year-old Well Dressing Festival, where we explored its rich heritage and stunning Edwardian architecture. Relaxing with drinks at Dukes 92 in Castlefield was the perfect way to soak up the rare summer sunshine. The month wrapped up with farewell drinks, a fun game of darts, and some photography to celebrate the contributions of two cherished team members: our former CEO, Helen, and our talented administrator, Nikki.

August and the summer wrapped up with an exciting trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster for a memorable wildlife adventure. The month also featured a delightful canoeing outing on the Bridgewater Canal and a birthday celebration.
