Running for Autism: Janine’s Inspiring Journey
We are thrilled that our incredible Finance Officer, Janine Redgrove, is gearing up for a heartfelt challenge! On Sunday, October 13th, she will run the Manchester Half Marathon, traversing the lively streets of Manchester and passing iconic landmarks, as well as the vibrant communities of Stretford, Sale, and Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
This isn’t just any race—Janine will join a diverse field of runners, from novices to elite athletes, all united by a common goal. Starting and finishing near the iconic Old Trafford, this half marathon is the largest in the region, attracting over 24,000 participants ready to conquer the thrilling, closed-road course!
I signed up for the Manchester Half Marathon earlier this year to celebrate a significant birthday. It’s a challenge, but I’m determined to keep going! I’ve been with I AM for over three years and love everything about it. This marathon is a great opportunity to raise funds for a meaningful cause. I’m focusing on updating and re-equipping our quiet/sensory room, which will benefit all our members who attend the Centre groups.”
Janine, who recently won the Fundraising Champion Award at the Trafford Community Awards, is running to support I AM, a charity devoted to uplifting autistic families in Manchester and Greater Manchester. Your generous donations will directly bolster our work, empowering us to reach even more individuals in need.
